ESQUIZO

Esquizo is a first-person psychological experience that takes you through the blurred line between reality and delusion.

Over the course of three days, you live the same routine — but each day, the world around you begins to distort. The lighting darkens, the sounds twist, and distant voices whisper from the walls, challenging your perception of what’s real.

With no jumpscares or cheap tricks, Esquizo builds tension through atmosphere, sound design, and subtle changes in the environment. Every step, every creak of a door, every shadow tells part of the story.

Developed in Unity 3D, Esquizo was created as part of a research project exploring schizophrenia, aiming to raise awareness about the condition through immersive storytelling and interactive design.

Features:

• Fully functional 3D environment with detailed sound and lighting.

• Three days/levels with progressive visual and auditory distortion.

• Immersive atmosphere — no jumpscares, only psychological tension.

• Accompanied by a complete research document and an official website about schizophrenia awareness.

This project was developed by a small team of students as part of their Technical Baccalaureate in Systems. Despite its humble origins, it stands as a full, immersive experience built from months of dedication and passion.
